The resilience of healthcare systems, particularly medication supply chains, is crucial during disasters. These systems often face disruptions in the supply of essential medicines, leading to adverse effects on the health and well-being of affected populations. This review, utilizing a narrative literature review approach, explores the critical challenges and potential solutions for maintaining a resilient medication supply chain during disasters, focusing on socio-cultural, logistical, and technological factors. By integrating agile supply chain strategies, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and implementing technology-based solutions, we can enhance the capacity of healthcare systems to withstand and recover from crises. This review highlights gaps in current disaster management frameworks and offers actionable insights for developing resilient medication supply chains in disaster-prone regions.
