The COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented challenges for healthcare systems, prompting the involvement of medical students in various critical roles. This review explores their contributions, including health communication, clinical support, and mental health assistance, while highlighting the challenges they faced, such as educational disruptions, psychological stress, and ethical dilemmas. Medical students played a pivotal role in mitigating the pandemic's impact through public outreach and patient care, setting a new standard for their involvement in future health crises. The findings underscore the need for integrating pandemic preparedness into medical curricula to enhance students' readiness for future public health emergencies.
